What does a business need to send booking texts with Samaya?
US booking texts need a business-specific sender, verified carrier registration for that sender, a valid recipient number, consent where required, and no applicable STOP opt-out. A Twilio number alone is not enough. Provider acceptance is not proof of delivery.
Email uses a business’s connected mailbox
Owners can connect a Google mailbox to send transactional booking notices. Samaya requests access to send email and identify the mailbox, not to read the inbox. Google application verification and consent requirements apply.
Texting has readiness and consent requirements
Technoic provisions and registers the business’s US texting identity. Until the required campaign and sender association are verified, texts stay disabled. Customer text consent is optional and separate from sign-in. STOP opt-outs must be honored.
Choose reminder windows
Businesses can enable day-before and two-hour reminder options. Sending depends on configured channels and operational jobs. Do not rely on notification timing as a guarantee of delivery; review the visit in the application.
Understand message status
Accepted means a provider accepted the request to send. Delivered requires a delivery receipt where supported. A failed or skipped channel does not mean the booking itself failed. Connection and provider issues can interrupt delivery.
Replies have specific meanings
When SMS is configured, supported customer replies can record attendance, request rescheduling, or cancel a visit subject to policy. A reschedule request does not move the booking by itself. If more than one visit could match, the customer must select the visit in the application.
